Breeze Rose and Breeze Backplate use the same setup process.

Only the handle/backplate shape is different — the installation, app setup and fingerprint steps below apply to all Breeze Plus variants.

Use the Tuya Smart app

Breeze Plus is app-enabled — pair the handle in the app and create an administrator before adding fingerprints. If the handle accepts every fingerprint, it is still in setup mode: it has not been paired and administered in the app yet.

Do not use the TTLock app for this product — the Breeze Plus pairs with Tuya Smart only.

1. Breeze — Full installation video

Start here. The complete fitting process from an empty door to a working handle: drilling with the template, fitting the latch, mounting the external handle (the one with the cable and fingerprint pad), passing the cable through the square tube without pinching it, fitting the internal handle, connecting the battery box — red side of the socket to the red side of the cable — inserting the 4 × AAA batteries, aligning the battery case with the SET button hole, and testing everything before closing up.

2. Breeze — Changing the handle direction

Watch this before fitting if your door opens the opposite way. It shows how to tell the external handle (cable + fingerprint pad) from the internal one, how to rotate the mechanism 180°, and — the part most people get wrong — how to handle the small grub screw and return spring so the spring doesn't jump over the screw pillar. If the spring isn't seated correctly, the handle won't spring back. Finish by testing the return with the square bar between both handles.

A tour of what the Breeze can do once it's on the door: fingerprint entry, unlocking and managing users from the app, sharing e-keys with family or guests, and the mechanical key backup. Useful if you're deciding how to set up access for your household before adding fingerprints.

FAQs

How many fingerprints can be stored in one lock?

20 fingerprints. The Breeze Plus also supports 20 e-keys and comes with 2 mechanical backup keys.

Is the fingerprint sensor waterproof and fog-proof?

No. The Breeze is designed as an indoor lock and the fingerprint sensor is not waterproof or fog-proof. Avoid wet fingers and direct water exposure.

What should I do if fingerprint recognition is occasionally unsuccessful?

Make sure your finger and the sensor glass are clean and dry, place the pad of your finger over the full sensor, and hold still for about a second.

When registering, scan the same finger from slightly different angles — and register a backup finger too.

How do I add a new user fingerprint?

Fingerprints are added through the app. Pair the handle and create an administrator first, then add fingerprints from the user/access section of the Tuya Smart app.

Does it support remote unlocking?

Yes — remote unlocking is supported when paired with an external 2.4GHz Wi-Fi bridge/gateway. Within Bluetooth range, the app works with no extra hardware.

The handle is stuck after changing direction. What should I do?

Try slightly loosening the M16 nut that secures the handle to see if it returns to normal operation. Also check the return spring hasn't jumped over the screw pillar — see the "Changing handle direction" video above.

Where do I find my serial number (SN)?

The SN code is on the product label — you'll need it for registration and warranty support.
